Your Role
As a Quality Control Technician, you’ll be responsible for inspecting entertainer coaches before and after every tour to ensure they’re safe, clean, stocked, and ready. You’ll also review cosmetic conditions, identify damage, and communicate any issues directly to the Tour Quality Manager. This is a physically active, hands-on job for someone who’s mechanically or technically inclined, detail-oriented, and thrives in a structured, checklist-driven environment. You’ll be trained on all processes and work closely with the Tour Quality Manager and your teammates.

Responsibilities

Arrival Inspections:
Conduct detailed inspections of returning coaches. Review interior and exterior condition, identify missing or damaged items, and note both operational and cosmetic deficiencies. Document findings through video and photos using company-provided recording technologies.

Departure Inspections:
Prepare each coach for departure to meet client expectations and Encore’s premium standards. Responsibilities include:

Confirm mechanical startup and operation

Verify all exterior lighting meets DOT standards

Ensure TVs, audio systems, and other entertainment amenities are functional

Confirm HVAC systems are operational and climate-controlled

Verify presence of all bedding, linens, and tour-ready supplies

Restock all essential items as needed

Departmental Support:

Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned, especially as you gain more familiarity with Encore’s operations and as the Quality Department continues to grow and evolve.

Real-Time Issue Escalation:
Immediately escalate concerns discovered during inspections to the Tour Quality Manager. Coordinate follow-up with service writers or department leads to ensure timely resolution.

Video Documentation:
Perform detailed walkthroughs of each coach (interior and exterior) using iPads and video recording software for departure documentation.

Cross-Team Coordination:
Interface with Wash Bay, Housekeeping, Laundry, Interior, the Diesel Shop and other Encore teams to resolve issues discovered during inspections.

Minimum Requirements

Typically requires 3+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle inspections, detailing, maintenance, or similar work – but candidates with fewer years will be considered if they can demonstrate the ability to perform the responsibilities at this level.

Comfortable working around large vehicles, mechanical systems, and powered equipment (e.g., generators, HVAC units).

Mechanically or technically inclined with strong observational skills.

Confident using AV setups such as Roku, Apple TV, HDMI inputs, and basic sound systems.

Comfortable using iPads and mobile apps to document inspections through photos and video.

Able to work independently, follow structured checklists, and use good judgment in identifying real issues versus normal wear and tear.

Nice to Have

Passion for audio/visual systems or experience with home theater setups.

Prior work in auto shops, detailing bays, or fleet inspection environments.

Familiarity with tour bus or coach interiors.

Experience using Record360 or similar video inspection software.
