Job Summary: Support the development and implementation of efficient, streamlined, and well-documented processes across Spaulding Clinical. This role will work closely with department heads, frontline staff, and the Quality Assurance team to evaluate, revise, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions. The Process Engineer will be responsible for identifying process gaps, simplifying documentation, and helping ensure swift, compliant implementation of changes.
This is an entry-level position ideal for a recent college graduate with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. The role requires independent initiative under CEO supervision and offers broad exposure to operational and quality systems in a clinical research environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review existing SOPs and Work Instructions for clarity, accuracy, and usability; rewrite for improved efficiency and comprehension.
Collaborate with process owners and frontline staff to understand operational workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist in documenting and implementing revised procedures in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team.
Facilitate timely process updates through change control and document routing procedures.
Support rapid implementation of revised processes with appropriate training and communication strategies.
Work cross-functionally to maintain consistency in process improvement across departments.
Track and report on improvement outcomes and project status.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Biomedical, Systems, etc.), Operations, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
Self-starter capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with process mapping or documentation tools preferred.
Detail-oriented with a desire to create meaningful operational improvements.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
Prior internship, co-op, or project-based experience in process improvement, operations, or quality a plus.
