Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections on aircraft, components, and systems to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company standards. This position is essential to maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality within aviation operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and maintenance tasks in accordance with FAA, customer, and internal specifications.
Verify the quality of work performed by technicians and ensure compliance with technical data.
Maintain accurate and complete inspection records, including logbook entries, work cards, and documentation of corrective actions.
Identify and document discrepancies and coordinate with appropriate departments for corrective action.
Conduct receiving inspections on incoming materials, parts, and components.
Support internal audits and compliance reviews.
Monitor tools and equipment for calibration status and proper use.
Provide guidance and interpretation of technical data to maintenance personnel.
Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld throughout maintenance processes.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required
3+ years of experience in aviation maintenance or inspection.
Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 145, 43, 65) and industry standards.
Proficient in reading and interpreting aircraft maintenance manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
Experience using measuring instruments and inspection tools.
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, and variable weather conditions.
Standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods may be required.
