Agritek Industries is actively looking for a dedicated individual to apply for a position as Quality Manager. The ideal candidate would have:
Engineering & Metrology experience
Understanding of shop floor efficiencies and processes
Strong understanding of the stamping and metal working environment
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High proficiency in data, spreadsheets, flowcharts and graphics
Ability to work with a diverse team
Individuals applying for this role should be energized by a smaller size company where they have the ability to work a flexible schedule and have excellent time management skills and the ability to be self-directed.
Quality Manager Core Functions
Quality Management System
Establish a quality driven culture through training and monitoring
Maintain, revalidate and harmonize our QMS and ISO 9001certification, close gaps, write/standardize procedures, and lead external audits to successful certification
Conduct internal compliance audits to verify adherences to quality system
Continuously monitor quality system for problems and trends or any concerns for quality failures
Monitor Risk and implement preventive measures
Seek new opportunities for continuous process improvement
Assist with production launches, PPAPs, employee training and quality related issues
Manage and actively maintain gage control processes
Oversee all part documentation needed for compliance with ISO 9001 and Agritek’s Quality Management System (QMS)
Employee Education
Be a strong presence on the shop floor, observe production, audit to standards, and provide support and training
Educate, mentor, and encourage Agritek personnel on the vital importance of quality and following proper procedures and checks
Provide guidance to Supervisors and personnel for Agritek’s QMS
Customer and Supplier Responsibilities
Work closely with suppliers and customers to create a strong trust and collaborate on continual improvements in areas of quality, quantity, and cost
Oversee supplier quality and adherence to Agritek requirements
Communicate and train Agritek suppliers to meet our QMS standards
Be an ambassador for Agritek with customers, working out issues to mutual satisfaction
Swiftly and professionally resolve customer complaints, non-conformance issues, 8-D’s and other required documentation
Other
Report to President/Owner to meet quality goals and expectations as evaluated
Be “hands on”, work on the production floor to build process knowledge and relationships with operators
Quickly gather, organize, and enter dimensions, processes, and other critical information into work instructions
Be a champion for better, faster, lower cost production
Be the big picture thinker, determine overall goals and objectives
Maintain cost effective, efficient, and competitive quality mindset
Follow Best Practices in Quality Management
Look for Risk and Opportunity along with Continuous Process Improvement
Minimum Job Requirements
2 years of college or equivalent in training
Minimum 4 years of intense specific job-related experience
Demonstrated success shaping culture—from instituting audits to coaching all levels of an organization on quality mindset
Experience leading external customer or third-party audit s and converting findings into systemic improvements
Strong leadership skills: able to inspire, hold people accountable and communicate effectively across all levels
Working knowledge of CAD data and use of CMM and imaging equipment is preferred
Proven leadership in mentoring, training, and goal setting capabilities
High moral character and established integrity
Good work ethic, good attendance – being there for the department
Keep updated and current on new trends in quality areas in the metals industry, ISO 9001
Excellent math and statistics aptitude and good manufacturing knowledge
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle stress and physical requirements of Core Functions
