Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our Metal stamping team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant regulations. This position involves conducting inspections, implementing quality management systems, and collaborating with various departments to maintain compliance, and ISO 9001 standards.
Responsibilities and Experience
Ensures all quality practices are performed according to the quality manual; keeps manual updated.
Ensures safety issues related to QA are identified and appropriate action taken to eliminate/reduce safety hazards.
Updates GM and PM on a regular basis and as situations occur as to the status of quality issues.
Conduct thorough inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
Collect and analyze research data related to product quality and performance.
Implement and maintain quality management systems to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement in fabrication processes.
Ensure compliance throughout the manufacturing process.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities.
Participate in internal audits and assist in the preparation for external audits related to quality systems.
Provide training and support to staff on quality inspection techniques and best practices.
Interact with customers regarding the initial quality plan and review of new parts; give input on whether parts can be done as is before it goes to the shop.
Investigate quality problems and work with appropriate departments to ensure problems are corrected and are not repeated.
Proven experience in QA/QC roles in manufacturing or production environments.
Familiarity with quality inspection methodologies and tools.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including FDA regulations and ISO 9001.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining independence in decision-making.
