Job Description
The Global Product Compliance team is responsible for reviewing any product returned from the field to identify any potential safety-impacted failures, understand the failure modes, and document these failures in order to allow the team to support potential recalls from the field.
The co-op will:
Disassemble and inspect product and correlate with customer provided information to develop failure theories.
Test product to confirm failure mode when needed utilizing lab equipment such as DMM, Oscilloscope, etc.
Complete failure analysis & research failure database to find similar incidences.
Consult with safety team to complete risk-analysis for product failure & recommend next steps.
This work will allow the co-op to improve their lab and technical root cause analysis skills in field-failure analysis and develop their use of FA and reporting tools.
The co-op will also:
Assist Global Product Compliance team through database support, uploading safety certifications and reports to the Product Approval Database.
Work with the GPC team to understand the certification timeline for projects.
Support the team by learning to use the Product Approval database to post certifications and reports for future documentation.
This work will allow the co-op to improve their understanding of project management and PM tools used for safety and certifications, and develop their capabilities in use of Microsoft tools and various databases.
