Role Description The Production and Quality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Valsad, responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations and ensuring consistent product quality. This role manages production planning, supervises shop-floor activities, allocates resources, and monitors output to meet delivery schedules and cost targets. The Production and Quality Manager establishes and maintains quality control processes, conducts inspections and audits, analyzes nonconformities, and drives corrective and preventive actions. The role includes implementing and sustaining quality management systems, coordinating with design, procurement, and sales teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and certifications. The manager will also train and mentor production and quality staff, promote a safe working environment, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong production management skills, including production planning, workflow optimization, and resource allocation.
- Experience in quality assurance and quality control, including inspection methods, documentation, audits, and corrective actions.
- Familiarity with ISO and related standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS), and experience maintaining compliant systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for precision components, ideally valves, fittings, or related mechanical/instrumentation products.
- Ability to use basic production and quality tools (e.g., control charts, root cause analysis, 5S, Kaizen, or similar methodologies).
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience supervising and developing shop-floor and quality personnel.
- Effective communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
