Production Controller
Purpose of the role:
The main purpose of the role is overall accountability for maintaining factory operational efficiencies and delivers products to meet the customer’s requirements. The candidate will also ensure that all products are produced according to required specifications and meet the food safety and quality requirements. This will include planning, scheduling, coordinating, and supervising production process.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure efficient production processes
Coordinating production workflow for multiple products and stages
Monitor production rates and product standards to ensure goals are met
Assist with system movements of stock (D365 system movements)
Addressing production issues and concerns to minimize delays and disruptions
Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Performing resource allocation and material planning
Monitoring and reporting on project status, identifying any issues that may affect production timelines
Provide Innovation Support – Participate in factory trials
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed
Coordinate and direct production teams to ensure product quality and efficiency
Analyse production data and recommend improvements
Provide reports on production operations and status to Production Manager
Required to write procedures and / or reports for Operational working practices
Coordinating with other departments, such as procurement and quality assurance, to implement procedures and standards
Train staff on Production requirements (SOP’s etc)
Requirements
Education:
Matric certificate
National Diploma in Production Management or equivalent
Experience:
3 – 5 years’ experience in factory supervision/Operations environment
Knowledge and understanding of operational systems and methodologies (MRP, D365, SAP etc)
Understanding Production systems, including common obstacles and effective solutions
Behavioural Competencies:
