Job Summary
The Production Manager will oversee the manufacturing process, ensuring production efficiency, quality compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and resource optimization, especially within the medical devices or healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to meet market demand.
Ensure the manufacturing process adheres to company standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, materials, and machinery.
Implement and maintain quality control measures for products at each stage of production.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to conduct regular audits and inspections.
Identify bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions for improvement.
Introduce automation and process innovations to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Supervise and train production staff to achieve departmental objectives.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement among team members.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure seamless production.
Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, quality metrics, and cost control.
Work closely with R&D, procurement, and sales teams to align production capabilities with market demand.
Address and resolve production-related issues promptly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
MBA in Operations Management (preferred).
7–10 years of experience in production management, preferably in medical devices or consumer healthcare products.
Proven experience in managing production lines for electronics, wearable devices, or small appliances is a plus.
Skills And Competencies
Strong knowledge of production planning, quality standards, and safety regulations (ISO, GMP, etc.).
Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in ERP systems and production-related software.
Effective communication and team management abilities.
