Role Description
The Production Manager II is a full-time, on-site role based in Mandaluyong City, responsible for leading and overseeing daily bakery and food production operations. The role plans and supervises production schedules, ensures product quality and consistency, and manages inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods. The Production Manager II provides leadership and direct supervision to Production Manager I and production teams, ensuring alignment with operational goals, workforce productivity, and performance standards.
The role is responsible for making sound operational decisions to address production issues, optimize resources, and ensure uninterrupted operations. It also drives continuous improvement by developing and implementing efficient processes that enhance line productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, and increase overall operational efficiency.
Additionally, the Production Manager II enforces safety, hygiene, and food handling standards, monitors equipment performance, collaborates with Maintenance for timely repairs, and works closely with Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Store Operations to meet production demand. The role analyzes production data, identifies improvement opportunities, supports new product launches, and ensures compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong production and operations management skills, including planning, scheduling, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Proven leadership experience in managing Production Manager I, supervisors, and production teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make timely operational decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and standardize production processes that improve line efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost performance.
- Experience in quality assurance and food safety, with knowledge of hygiene standards and regulatory compliance in food manufacturing or baking.
- Strong people management capabilities, including coaching, performance management, employee development, and conflict resolution.
- Inventory and resource management skills, including materials planning, cost control, and waste reduction.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in interpreting production KPIs and implementing data-driven process improvements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Logistics, Engineering, and Store Operations.
- Relevant experience in a bakery, food manufacturing, or FMCG production environment; experience in high-volume operations is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to work on-site in Mandaluyong City and adapt to shifting schedules, including weekends and holidays, as operationally required.
