Role Description
– Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance
– Provides technical support to Production and all its personnel to troubleshoot equipment, improve processes, process controls (DCS) and related issues
– Provides training to operators on newly commissioned equipment and leads advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving processes
– Works collaboratively with Quality on FTR (Firs Time Right) and chemistry related issues
– Develops project scopes and process engineering packages for new installations
– Works with the Production Manager to lead plant optimization initiatives, process safety reviews, creation of SOPs, and any process implementation as and when required.
– Leads or assist in the incident and near miss investigation processes to mitigate risk or resolve
– Develops and revises plant operating procedures to satisfy compliance requirements.
– Responsible for participating in PHAs Process Hazard Analysis), HAZOPS (Hazards and Operability Studies) and LOPA (Layer of Protection Analysis) studies for existing processes as well as new product initiatives
– Responsible for completion of MOCs (Management of Change) forms and leading ORIs (Operational Readiness Inspection) with interested parties as and when required.
– Supports the Production Manager in the development of KPIs and goals aligned with the site; monitors KPI performance to identify support needs in addressing performance gaps.
– Prepare technical reports on campaign changeovers and any other active projects and initiatives as and when requested by the Production Manager
– Satisfies all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System
Qualifications
– Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
– 4/6 years of field experience in chemical manufacturing plant. It will be an advantage if it’s form Hot/Cold extrusion, plastic industry, or batch process.
– Chemical engineering knowledge including, but not limited to, an understanding of fluid transport, heat transfer, filtration, reaction kinetics, general process equipment
– High level of initiative and energy
– Understanding of Isolations and use of Permit to Work System.
– AUTO CAD, SAP & Microsoft Excel Skills.
