Engineers, Software located in Overland Park, KS will conduct and oversee testing of software products using prescribed testing procedures and plans.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conduct testing procedures and maintain detailed records of the testing and results.
Use automation or modeling tools to create test models for the automation.
Alert engineers/analysts to problems in software or hardware.
Conduct a wide range of quality-control tests and analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
Execute complex tests according to plans and scripts, document defects in centralized defect tools, and retest software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.
Draft and revise complex test plans and scripts.
Identify, recommend, and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies.
Coordinate activities of the test team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs.
Drive automation efforts across various customer scenarios and programs that build on industry best practices and lead to discovery of potential customer impacting issues in production.
Work with SDLC tools, environment, release, delivery pipelines, Security, functional testing, automation, Service virtualizations, Data Science, Data Governance, Automation, and selfservice mindset.
Identify recurring problems and build automation solutions to auto identify and remediate them.
Build automation, data analytics, tools, and capabilities to support the enterprise.
Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
No additional national or international travel is anticipated.
Skill requirements:
(1) Implementing model-based testing using ConformiQ Creator and ConformiQ Transformer or equivalent Model based test automation tool to create and execute test cases and validate the business requirements defined for each project.
(2) Creating models with ConformiQ Structure Diagram to define all objects of SUT and ConformiQ Activity Diagram developing test cases by creating flowcharts/decision trees and applying the workflow rules to determine the test flow using ConformiQ Designer module.
(3) Using various testing methodologies and strategies including Agile Methodology, Waterfall methodology, Test Driven Development, and Risk Based Testing for prioritizing and increasing efficiency with test planning and execution.
(4) Managing and grooming automated test suites via ConformiQ tool or equivalent modeling tool and manual test suites via HP ALM and qTest tools for ensuring proper balance between coverage.
(5) Utilizing understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Test Life Cycle to drive the processes and procedures to develop, test, and validate software using tools like HP ALM, Jira, qTest, and Rally.
(6) Managing and implementing test solutions using ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) Testing with Oracle SQL Developer tool. Understanding databases and creating SQL queries to extract data to validate business requirements using Oracle SQL Developer and TOAD.
Experience and education requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications and Software Engineering or related, or its foreign equivalent, and 1 year of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications and Software Engineering or related, or its foreign equivalent, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

Candidate’s pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
