The Role
As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high-quality standards on the factory floor. You will play a key role in managing a team, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee production processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Accurately complete all required documentation to meet compliance requirements.
• Provide clear guidance to the production team on health and safety best practices.
• Communicate expectations to team members and assess their performance.
• Implement emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Conduct regular checks on machinery and workflow checkpoints to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Compile production reports and update management on performance and key metrics.
• Coordinate repairs and replacements of faulty equipment to minimize downtime.
• Ensure resources and assets are used efficiently to optimize production output.
• Supervise and support the team, driving performance to meet quality and service goals.
• Undertake additional tasks as required by the Line Manager.
Skills & Experience Required:
• Previous experience in a production or supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
