Purpose / Objective
To monitor the execution of production plans by supervising team performance, production control, maintenance, and the quality of manufactured products.
Key Responsibilities
Manage subordinate employees in areas such as onboarding, attendance management, shift scheduling, performance evaluation, training, supervision, and motivation.
Provide and monitor on-the-job training to ensure all workers are qualified for operational tasks.
Weekly report to the HR Department regarding attendance, overtime (pre-authorized by the Plant Manager), and shift structure changes.
Analyze daily reports from the previous day’s shifts, ensuring critical analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Manage stock levels, especially key raw materials, consumables, and production line parts, ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained.
Ensure external resources assigned to the plant perform tasks/services without compromising production or occupational health and safety standards.
Oversee delivery/shipping of finished products to the Commercial Department’s warehouses in accordance with current procedures.
Input finished product entries into the ERP system, ensuring system stock matches physical stock.
Ensure daily production reports are generated.
Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished goods to maintain product quality and integrity.
Formalize and monitor orders of raw materials, consumables, and parts, ensuring compliance with specifications.
Follow up on non-conformities reported by the Quality Department and Plant Manager.
Enforce compliance with occupational health, safety, and food safety standards at the plant.
Participate in the preparation and updating of quality system documents related to their area of work.
Ensure all employees comply with existing standards and procedures, collaborating with Quality and HR departments to improve processes and implement legal or regulatory requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, And Experience
Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Industrial Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
At least 5 years of proven experience in similar roles.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
ERP knowledge, preferably PRIMAVERA.
Verbal and written fluency in Portuguese and English.
Knowledge in occupational health and food safety.
Analytical thinking.
Solid technical knowledge in calculating percentages, yields, and arithmetic averages.
Basic knowledge of industrial mechanics.
Leadership skills, team spirit.
Results orientation, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
