Job Description
The Project Analyst supports the Service Provider Partnership, Readiness & Adoption workstream which focuses on strengthening BCLC’s partnership with Service Providers (Casinos) and support the successful delivery of the redesigned Encore program. This role coordinates engagement, readiness, and adoption activities across Service Providers, operational stakeholders, and internal BCLC teams, helping to ensure program changes are effectively communicated, understood, and implemented. The Project Analyst supports Service Provider consultations, workshops, and partnership activities, documenting operational impacts, requirements, feedback, decisions, and action items while maintaining accurate project reporting and governance artifacts. The role also supports change management, training coordination, communications, and operational readiness activities to prepare frontline Service Provider staff and BCLC teams for launch.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities and delivery support functions, working with Project Managers, Program Managers, agile teams, service providers, vendors, and stakeholders to support successful execution of initiatives.
- Facilitate and support project planning sessions, stakeholder consultations, workshops, governance meetings, and service provider engagement activities, including agenda preparation, meeting coordination, and action tracking.
- Develop, maintain, and verify project documentation and artifacts, including project charters, communication plans, roadmaps, stakeholder registers, status reports, dashboards, risk registers, issue logs, budgets, forecasts, and audit documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of project and service provider discussions, requirements, decisions, feedback, action items, risks, and issues, ensuring information is complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Analyze project information and prepare reporting related to timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, financial status, readiness activities, and overall project progress for a variety of stakeholder groups.
- Support stakeholder communications, relationship management, and engagement activities, including the preparation of presentations, governance materials, implementation communications, and executive-ready reporting.
- Support change management, training coordination, operational readiness, adoption planning, and go-live activities to help ensure successful implementation and uptake of project deliverables by service providers and operational teams.
- Maintain and administer project collaboration and delivery tools including SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and related systems used to support planning, reporting, documentation, and delivery governance.
- Support project governance, compliance, quality assurance, and audit readiness activities, including identifying and escalating risks, issues, gaps, or concerns to the appropriate Project Manager or stakeholder.
- Execute and support other project coordination, reporting, analytical, administrative, readiness, and implementation activities as reasonably required by the BCLC Project Manager, Program Manager or sponsor.
Qualifications
- Must have 3–5 years of significant and recent related experience in a project-oriented role, preferably in a technical or technology-enabled business environment, with the ability to support multiple project activities, maintain project information, and contribute to effective planning, tracking, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness activities.
- Degree or equivalent diploma in technology, business, project management, or a related discipline, supplemented by industry-recognized professional courses and training.
- Excellent organizational, planning, coordination, and scheduling skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to accurately document requirements, discussions, decisions, risks, issues, and action items.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, project lifecycle activities, governance processes, and supporting tools used for planning, reporting, road mapping, stakeholder management, and delivery tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to professionally represent BCLC and communicate effectively with executives, senior leaders, project teams, service providers, vendor-partners, and operational stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships, facilitate discussions and workshops, manage stakeholder expectations, and support collaborative decision-making across diverse groups.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to verify information, identify issues and risks, analyze project data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and related collaboration, documentation, reporting, and project delivery tools.
- Knowledge of change management, training coordination, communications planning, and operational readiness practices, with the ability to support adoption and implementation activities across business and frontline stakeholder groups.
- Project Management certification or related professional designation is considered an asset. Familiarity with casino operations, retail operations, gaming environments, or large-scale organizational change programs is also considered an asset.
