Project Manager Jobs in United States at Punch

Title: Project Manager

Company: Punch

Location: United States

About Punch

Punch is a leading creative agency helping cybersecurity, B2B technology, GovCon, startup, and nonprofit organizations build brands, websites, and digital experiences that drive real growth. With 250+ brands built and 350+ websites launched since 2014, we're a team of senior designers, strategists, copywriters, and developers who fuse design and content to make complex ideas impossible to ignore. We're looking for a Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and can keep ambitious projects on time, on budget, and on brand.

The Role

As Project Manager at Punch, you'll be the operational backbone of our project delivery,  the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. You'll manage multiple creative projects simultaneously from kickoff to launch, coordinating closely with our internal team and serving as a trusted point of contact for clients throughout the entire engagement. You're as comfortable running a brand identity project as you are managing a complex website build or a multi-channel campaign.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Project Management

  • Own the full project lifecycle for branding, website, campaign, video, and UX/UI engagements — from scoping and kickoff through delivery and closeout.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and task structures in Asana, keeping projects organized, visible, and on track across all active engagements. Turn meeting notes into actionable tasks in Asana with due dates, owners and thorough task descriptions.
  • Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and scope changes; communicate them early and recommend solutions before they become problems.
  • Manage project budgets, track hours and resource allocation, and flag budget variances to leadership in a timely manner.

Cross-Functional Team Collaboration

  • Serve as the central hub connecting designers, strategists, copywriters, and developers — ensuring everyone has what they need to do their best work.
  • Facilitate internal kickoffs, creative briefings, and production check-ins to maintain alignment across disciplines throughout each project phase.
  • Translate client goals and feedback into clear, actionable briefs that set the creative team up for success.
  • Partner with creatives to prioritize workloads, coordinate handoffs, and ensure quality output at every stage.

Project Leadership

  • Ensure clients feel informed, heard, and confident in Punch's ability to deliver — at every stage of the engagement.
  • Act as a primary day-to-day client contact for active projects.
  • Monitor all inbound client communications, make sure their communication is acknowledged and that the right Helix team member responds in a timely manner.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and status calls grounded in trust, transparency, and professionalism.
  • Manage client expectations thoughtfully, communicating project progress, feedback loops, and any timeline adjustments with confidence and clarity.
  • Act as a peer leader for the project team along every step from beginning to end to ensure success – monitoring the flow of work, ensuring prompt delivery and communication, and interteam collaboration:
  • The Strategist – responsible for brand and account strategy; owns the client relationship
  • Primary leads from each function – design, copywriting, etc. who are responsible for delivering the best possible work
  • The Technical Delivery Manager  – who acts as a player coach for the production artists creating the final product and doing all quality assurance for final delivery

Process & Operations

  • Collaborates with other members of the project team to execute the project from start to finish, with each member of the team responsible for:
  • Project Manager: Responsible for managing the timeline, keeping the client informed of progress and potential delays, and ensuring the internal team has what they need to deliver on time.
  • Strategist: Leads the project team and owns the overall strategic direction, ensuring quality and alignment with project goals and client objectives.
  • Design Lead: Leads the creative direction of the project, contributes to and oversees all design work, ensuring visual quality, consistency, and alignment with the overall strategy.
  • Copywriting Lead: Owns the messaging and voice of the project, developing and refining copy to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand and strategic goals.
  • Technical Delivery Manager: Provides updates on website development, manages technical questions with the client, and ensures smooth execution of all technical aspects of the project.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, status reports and meeting notes and recordings.
  • Champion Punch's project management workflows and Asana best practices, helping ensure consistency across the team.
  • Contribute to post-mortems to continuously improve delivery processes.
  • Support new business efforts by assisting with project scoping, timeline estimation, and proposal development as needed.

Professional Development

  • Regular feedback and performance conversations focused on where you're excelling and where you want to grow, with direct support from leadership to help get you there.
  • Stay on top of current trends and focus on continued learning for career growth and development

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably at a creative, digital, or marketing agency.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment without dropping the ball.
  • Hands-on experience with Asana for building timelines, managing tasks, and keeping cross-functional teams aligned.
  • Strong understanding of creative production workflows — including branding, web design and development, content, and digital campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your tone for internal creatives and external clients alike.
  • Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail and a bias toward proactive communication over reactive problem-solving.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and bringing structure to complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Familiarity with the cybersecurity, B2B tech, or government contracting space is a plus — but not required. We'll teach you the landscape; you bring the process chops.

Why Punch

  • Work directly alongside senior designers, strategists, and writers on high-stakes, meaningful projects.
  • Join a team that has been trusted by clients like the U.S. Marine Corps, ID.me, NightDragon, and 250+ technology brands.
  • Be part of a culture that values clarity, craft, and doing the work right the first time.
  • Competitive compensation, flexibility, and a team that genuinely enjoys what they build.
