Job Purpose
Perform a full range of inspection / technical integrity oversight on Sadara assets, both in-service, in projects and in outside vendor shops.
Main Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Ensure the integrity and compliance of Sadara facilities and equipment with applicable codes, Sadara engineering specifications and design requirements during fabrication/manufacturing (procurement), installation/construction (projects) and in-service /shutdowns (operations).
Perform periodic external, internal and onstream inspections according to the approved procedures and work processes.
Develop generic and specific Inspection and Test plans” ITP” for external, internal and onstream inspections/testing.
Witness and approve testing activities inside Sadara operating facilities and in outside vendor shops, according to the approved procedures and Inspection Test Plans” ITP”.
Evaluate and interpret inspection findings, defects and repairs.
Generate and draft inspection worksheets; provide recommendations and reports.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of inspection records, log books and management systems.
Perform QC inspection of new equipment fabrication, installation and/or repairs and modification of existing equipment.
Inspect equipment/facilities for cleanliness and safe entry prior to internal inspection.
Review of inspection related procedures and engineering documents and act as an expert in his /her discipline.
Mentor and provide OJT training for inspectors to be fully qualified and certified.
Assist and provide discipline expertise in Integrity, QA, root cause analysis and participate in QA Assessments for vendors and projects.
Coordinate with Inspection agencies for inspection of equipment’s at vendor facility according to the approved inspection and test plans.
Participate in the development, maintenance and improvement of Sadara projects and procurement quality management requirements, system and governance including, references and documentations.
Monitor implementation of quality assessment plans on Sadara contractors/ vendors during design, procurement and construction phases to assure compliance with Sadara requirements and local regulations
Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/ manager.
Education
Two-year Technical College degree in Mechanical studies or equivalent; Or, High School Certificate with Science major or equivalent.
Professional Qualifications
A combination of API (piping, Tanks, Pressure vessels), CSWIP welding inspector, RTFI and NDT certifications.
