Attention job seekers! Gulf Engineering House (GEH) is currently looking for a Project Quality Supervisor (Mechanical) for the Saudi ARAMCO project in the Eastern Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Basic Function: 

• The basic function of Project Quality Supervisor is to supervise all quality activities performed by inspectors in capital projects. 

Scope:

• The incumbent will supervise and monitor quality activities performed by inspectors at all stages of projects. The incumbent will ensure CONTRACTOR’S WORK is in compliance with all applicable requirements including without limitation SAUDI ARAMCO engineering requirements, standards, procedures, specifications, and schedule Q of the project contract. The incumbent will provide training to others as and when required. Duties may require physical exertion, working outdoors, confined spaces, high elevations, remote work locations, and on or offshore.

Principal Duties: 

• Supervise all aspects of inspections disciplines and give WORK direction to all inspection’s personnel in the assigned groups or in the remotely located units.

• Ensure adequately trained and certified personnel area available to meet the workload.

• Ensure that all WORK is completed according to all applicable codes and standards, and keep current of the latest developments in inspection standards, codes, practices, procedures, methods and inspection equipment.

• Review/evaluate CONTRACTOR’s quality assurance/quality control systems, as necessary, and ensure Inspection Records (hard copy and electronic databases) are compiled and maintained

• Make frequent visits to construction sites to resolve inspection related problems, or appraise adequacy of inspection services provided

• Perform root cause analysis, assessments, and recommended shot and/or long-term remedies

• Provide technical support to Purchasing and Project Management in resolving problems concerning inspection methods and procedures for completing WORK within the scope and intent of applicable codes and standards

Minimum Requirements:

• BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical) is preferred. However, two (2) years industrial/technical College Diploma (Mechanical) is acceptable as a minimum in the absence of the Engineering degree.

• At least, one (1) year continuous employment with the CONTRACTOR.

• Ten (10) years of inspection experience with a minimum of five (5) years inspection supervision.

• Thorough knowledge of applicable US Codes, construction and maintenance procedures, and material testing procedures

• Certified ISO 9001 auditor or equivalent.
