We are seeking a highly skilled Protection Coordinator Engineer to lead and execute electrical protection systems, coordinate system settings, and oversee testing and commissioning activities. You will ensure network reliability and safety by managing end-to-end testing, validating schematics, and aligning with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Review: Review technical submittals, protection documents, and approve protection drawings.
- System Coordination: Perform complex protection coordination studies and systems to ensure grid reliability.
- Testing & Commissioning: Lead the testing and commissioning of protection relays and control systems.
- Quality Assurance: Verify wiring, logic schemes, interlocking, and tripping circuits.
- Supervision: Supervise end-to-end testing of protection schemes.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate closely with grid operators, utilities, consultants, and contractors.
- Documentation: Produce technical reports and commissioning documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7 – 10 years of experience including proven experience in protection relay configuration, coordination, and substation systems.
- Strong understanding of IEC/IEEE standards and local utility requirements.
- Excellent cross-discipline coordination, communication, and technical reporting skills.
