THE POSITION

Job Title: Incoming Inspector

Position Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt Hourly

Department: Quality

Supervision Received: Quality Lead

Supervision Exercised: N/A

Schedule: 8 Hour Day Shifts – May need to work evenings or weekends, depending on third party inspector

Wage/Salary: $23.50 – $24.50/hr

Location: Rogers, Minnesota

Reporting to the Quality Lead, the Incoming Inspector is responsible for ensuring all incoming raw production materials are inspected and dispositioned before being accepted into usable inventory. Using various tools, testing equipment, and criteria, the Incoming Inspector will Inspect incoming materials, record results and inform needed areas of the inspection results and actions needed to be taken.

Key Responsibilities:

· Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

· Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, and inputting data into quality database.

· Works with the Warehouse and Supply Chain Team on scheduling inspections.

· Material re-inspection for SMEs for both dimensional and visual criteria.

· Complies and enforces the requirements listed in Heliene Quality Procedures.

· Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.

· Available as a backup to inspect in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to the production supervisor.

· Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two years’ incoming inspection or similar experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

o Must pass the “Inspection Fundamentals and Measurement Test”

o Prior experience with quality audits while working in a Solar Manufacturing site considered an asset

o Must understand and be able to support the development of inspection methods and drawings

o Knowledge of Root Cause Analysts and Corrective Actions

o Self-motivated with the ability to work alone with minimal experience

o Working knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving tools

o Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

o Must complete record check and drug screening prior to employment

o Must be able to stand for an extended period

o Must be able to team lift to 50 lbs

Compensation Package:

· Salary: $23.50 – $24.50 /hr
