PT Quality Assurance Associate Jobs in Shelby, NC at Food Lion
Job Description: The Quality Assurance Technician is backup SQF Practitioner assisting in maintaining the SQF systems. Oversees the environmental monitoring, fill room sanitation and suppliers. Conducts training as necessary.
This position is Sunday-Wednesday 830pm-7am. $20.00 to start plus shift differential.
Responsibilities:
Startup verifications for production
Metal detector verifications
Hourly QA verifications
Conducts internal audits of the SQF system
Part of the Food Safety Team
End of day sanitation verification
Assists with check weigher rejects or other QA concerns as directed
Serves as a member of the HACCP, Food Defense, Recall and Crisis Management Teams
Conducts quality inspections as directed
Communicates with client’s QA manager on quality or food safety issues as needed
Must be Committed to fostering a strong food safety culture and influencing others to prioritize safety and quality.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent computer skills, with practical application abilities of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Ability to utilize digital media tools to create a variety of training/process solutions
Organized with strong attention to details
Flexibility and desire to take on additional responsibilities
Objectively work and make decisions in both independent and team environments where appropriate
Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience (6 months to 1 year) in manufacturing or food production environment is preferred but not required
