Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Analyst to join our team. This role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of web and mobile applications through thorough manual testing practices. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect tracking, and have hands-on experience with SQL and tools like JIRA. You will work closely with development and business teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Role Responsibilities:
Understand project requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios and cases.
Execute manual test cases for both web and mobile platforms, documenting outcomes clearly.
Identify, log, and manage bugs effectively using defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
Ensure complete test coverage using traceability matrices and scenario mapping.
Participate in QA planning, test reviews, and feedback sessions.
Communicate effectively across development, QA, and project teams.
Proactively identify testing gaps, risks, and suggest process improvements.
Technical Competencies:
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Experience with various testing types including:
Functional Testing
Regression Testing
Smoke Testing
Sanity Testing
Integration Testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Ability to write clear and effective test cases, scenarios, and prepare relevant test data.
Experience in executing test cases and documenting results thoroughly.
Proficient in identifying and reporting bugs using JIRA or similar tools.
Basic SQL knowledge for database validation and data integrity checks.
