Our location

We are a Scottish start-up with 120 colleagues based around the UK with offices in Dundee and Edinburgh.

This role will be based in our Dundee office in the City Quay on a full-time basis.

About The Team

Our technical team build and maintain our applications and systems. With a focus on the customer and the retailer, this team encompasses the breadth of our tech team: from back-end to front, specific app teams and even our servers. They face out to the rest of the business and our customers.

About The Role

Our QA Analysts ensure that all of our web and mobile applications function as expected and meet both customer and colleague demands. The duties of the QA Analyst include, but are not limited to:

Carrying out tests across several mobile and web applications, writing and maintaining automated tests where possible (written in JS using Cypress)

Completing feature and repression testing for projects

Executing performance usability testing

Validating databases and test API’s where necessary

Replicating bugs reported by users and provide debugging information

Getting involved in the software development lifecycle early to implement Shift Left Testing

Documenting bugs in Jira

Liaising with 3rd party integrators and internal stakeholders to ensure new functionality works effectively.

About You

To excel in this role, you’ll need to be/have:

Experience of mobile and web testing

Knowledge of REST API’s and Open API specs

Ability to use tools like Postman, Browerstack and Android Device Bridge.

Familiarity with database editing using SQL viewing tools

Ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders

Confidence creating effective technical documentation.

Ideally, you’ll also

Have experience in Appium or XCUI automation

Understand EPOS integrations or similar subject areas in the retail sector
