The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Hardware Development team builds mission critical, ultra-high performance, integrated compute and storage systems with embedded software and management services (ILOM, UEFI.) Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a deep and broad platform of public cloud services that enables customers to build and run a wide range of applications in a scalable, secure, highly available, and high performance environment deployed on OCI Hardware Development engineered systems.
We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with deep system knowledge and a QA test background to join our team. You will be part of a team that is focused on finding new and innovative ways to break our platforms and then work with our development partners to root cause the failures and deploy fixes. We are looking for a candidate with a test mindset and experience in server technologies like system security, reliability and serviceability (RAS), operating systems, virtualization, networking, and storage.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Must be local and willing to commute to the Oracle Burlington Massachusetts campus. Position requires hands-on work in our labs
Responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality test plans, standards, and procedures
Execute test suites on platforms under test, analyze test failures, raise code and platform bugs and update tests accordingly
Understand changes in technology and hardware to consistently create effective testcases.
Communicate progress status, blockers, and stoppers to engineering teams
Collaborate with team members, project leads, and developers to drive defects to resolution
Desired Skills:
Experience with Oracle Linux or Linux System Administration
Experience with rack servers and lab networking
Thorough understanding of testing methods like functional, regression, negative, etc.
Excellent in communicating bugs and driving them to closure
Experience working with distributed teams (across geographies and groups)
Highly motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision.
