Job Summary:

Software Quality Assurance Analyst to test, analyze, and improve product performance of our proprietary software solutions. This position is part of an innovative, highly dynamic software development team in a rapidly growing organization. As a technical position the role will be responsible for the full lifecycle product quality, providing input on functional requirements, advising on software design, improving testing strategies, developing test plans, and reporting and managing defects. Ideal candidates should have solid software testing knowledge, preferably in the insurance or financial industry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Take ownership for assigned system test activities, planning, set-up, execution, and reporting

Researches and analyzes the nature, effect, and results of system defects.

Create test harnesses and infrastructure as necessary

Develop and communicates detailed test plans and strategies.

Participates in building, and maintaining data-driven test automation tools and frameworks using clean coding practices

Collaborate with SME to understand the business needs supported by the information systems

Provide guidance and drive adoption of the software QA framework

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Backlog Grooming and Sprint Planning in an Agile/Scrum environment

Analytical Thinker, well organized and great attention to detail.

Ability to make decisions quickly with little guidance.

Ability to adapt to change, learn quickly and identify creative solutions to difficult problems.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field required.

3+ years of technical experience writing and executing test plans

Experience utilizing Azure DevOps or other Agile tools a plus.

Management Liability and/or P&C Insurance knowledge a plus. ‘
