JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the Quality Department in maintaining and enhancing JST Manufacturing’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role collaborates across departments to ensure ISO 9001 compliance and lead quality improvement initiatives. By driving quality excellence and operational efficiency, the Specialist helps uphold the highest standards of product delivery in the semiconductor and related industries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather and analyze data for monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Develop and maintain PowerPoint presentations for the Director of Quality, highlighting trends and insights for management review. QMS Documentation
Write, edit, and update QMS documents, ensuring clarity and compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Assist in organizing and conducting internal QMS audits to identify areas for improvement.
Assist the Quality Director with daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, including project planning and execution.
Provide support to the Quality Control (QC) team by working at the inspection table during peak times to verify in-process components and sub-assemblies.
Research and implement improved methods for utilizing the company’s ERP and document management systems.
Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
Assist the Quality Director alongside the Training and Development Coordinator to develop and deliver training programs to raise awareness of the QMS across the company.
Collaborate with the Quality Director and the Training and Development Coordinator to create a comprehensive company-wide training program by yearend.
Stay informed about industry best practices and quality management trends to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead initiatives to enhance the company’s processes and systems, particularly in the manufacturing of wet processing equipment for the semiconductor, medical, and food industries.
Support the Quality Director in finalizing the development and implementation of an ISO 9001 compliant QMS.
Participate in activities leading to the successful certification of the company’s QMS.
Oversee the company’s calibration program to ensure all measuring equipment is calibrated and maintained according to standards.
Maintain records of calibration activities and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Engage in cross-departmental projects to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the organization.
Assist in the development and maintenance of a robust document control system.
Help to accomplish quality objectives and develop quality standards, including JST’s mission to provide products and services to our customers
Contribute to team effort by achieving results. Work cooperatively with team members, communicate design constraints, and work within the team to achieve solutions.
Able to work in various positions such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, laying, reaching with hands and arms, grasp, handle and operate hand and tools, as well as welding equipment.
Responsible for other duties and task as assigned and, in some circumstances, may be completely unrelated to this position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES
Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and presentation software, such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and QMS documentation practices.
Excellent communication and training skills.

Previous experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience with a Quality Management System (QMS) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software preferred
Applied, technical or industrial metrology experienced preferred. This could include time spent manufacturing as a machinist, precision welder, finish carpenter or other trade.
