We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions through both functional testing and advanced automation engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing automation tests in Java and Python, and a keen understanding of both functional and non-functional testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using Java and Python.
Implement and maintain automation frameworks for RESTful API testing and UI testing.
Conduct both functional and non-functional testing including but not limited to performance, scalability, and reliability tests.
Work closely with development teams to integrate automation testing within the CI/CD pipeline.
Work with databases involved in testing environments, specifically MongoDB and DB2, ensuring data integrity and quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and provide testing feedback.
Maintain documentation for automation processes and test results to ensure transparency and compliance with industry standards.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends in QA methodologies and technologies and apply this knowledge to improve testing practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in developing automation tests using Java and Python.
Strong experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
Proficient in functional and non-functional testing of RESTful APIs.
Experience with Web UI automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium.
Experience with load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Solid understanding and experience working with MongoDB and DB2 databases.
Creative to write prompts to generate synthetic test data and prompt injection scenarios using a Large Language Model.
Experience working in Agile model with in-sprint automation mode.
Understanding of security testing principles and tools.
