eNGINE is hiring a skilled QA Automation Engineer to support one of our Pittsburgh based healthcare sector customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and automating quality assurance and compliance processes for web applications, mobile applications, and other projects. This role involves collaborating with development, testing, and product teams to create, publish, and implement software quality assurance plans, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement automated testing platforms for web and mobile products.
Design test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on system and business process requirements.
Conduct both manual and automated testing, covering all test phases to ensure application readiness for production.
Collaborate with project teams to maintain quality throughout the product lifecycle, including reviewing specifications and identifying/resolving software defects.
Validate developer-implemented defect resolutions.
Configure and manage test environments for software testing.
Continuously identify and assess risks, escalating issues as needed.
Define, track, and report quality assurance metrics such as defect counts, test results, and test status.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance testing and analysis, with a focus on automated testing.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Java coding
Experience in automation testing for GUI applications (web and mobile), JavaScript, and backend database functionality.
Hands-on experience with automation testing tools such as TestComplete, Selenium, and Appium.
Knowledge of different testing methodologies: Functional, System, Integration, Regression, Exploratory, and Negative Testing.
Ability to analyze requirements and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall development environments.
Strong communication, project management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must currently reside in Pittsburgh, PA or the immediate area.
Hybrid work model with the majority of work being remote; occasional in-office time near downtown.
