Job Purpose

Work with suppliers to address quality issues, approve new parts and improve their quality performance for Banjo. Identify and drive key metrics for Supplier performance and develop suppliers as an extension of Banjo. Support all quality activities for production to improve the quality performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary

Manage supplier quality performance, reporting and issue affecting overall performance

Conduct supplier part approvals

Conduct supplier audits

Drive root cause analysis, problem solving and corrective actions for quality issues found

Maintain accurate 8D records to support corrective actions and reporting

Determine disposition of rejected materials, components, and devices

Effectively identify needed data, collect data, and evaluate data to make data driven decisions using statistical methods

Implement CMM measurement programs and train technicians to execute

Support Quality management as needed for effective department functionality

Create and maintain procedures, work instructions and forms where needed to be compliant to ISO9001 requirements

Maintain quality documents such as control plans, PFMEA, flow diagrams and work instructions

Support cross training the QA technicians for seamless operations

Assist with ECN implementation as needed

Work with all cross functional departments to improve Quality

Effectively produce reports or procedures as needed to optimize operations

Assist with new product introduction into production to ensure high quality

Secondary

Cross train and mentor members on ISO9001 requirements

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by participation in all training made available by the company

Participate and support Rapid Improvement Events and Kaizen activities

Other assignments given by management

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience

A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience operating in in ISO9001 facilities

Ability to multitask and delivery expected results

Ability to read Blue Prints and drawings

Experience with CMM programming and operations or similar CNC experience

Proficient computer skills (Excel, Access, ERP systems)

Demonstrate responsibility, respect, dependability, patience, and productivity in order to create a positive work environment

Influential leadership skills to keep the team focused and prioritized

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Knowledgeable with applying SPC techniques to make processes more robust

Knowledgeable with GD&T
