Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our Elite team. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining production documents and providing process support to operators while ensuring compliance with ISO9001.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
Continuously improve production processes by applying and monitoring lean and mistake proofing techniques.
Develop processing methods and processes to promote efficient staff safety and facility utilization.
Works closely with Production to develop and maintain work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEA’s, control plans, and audit reports
Communicate with management and production personnel to develop production standards.
Analyze and maximize efficiency of production processes
Coordinate with quality and production personnel to resolve customer concerns, production problems and minimize cost.
Project manager for launch of new/revised products and/or build stations
Liaise with customer to ensure correct bill of materials are being used
Develop visual aids to assist operators
Analyze part usages to determine where parts should be located
Work with maintenance department to design fixtures and jigs
Present cost-effective solutions to address opportunities for improvement
Monitor the addition of new parts to determine the impact on cycle times, floor space and efficiency
Conduct internal audits based on an internal audit schedule to ensure compliance with ISO9001
Accurately update and maintain documentation within the Quality Management System
Responsible for maintaining work area in a clean and organized manner
Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others
Education/ Experience:
High School Diploma
2 years related experience working in warehouse operations environment
Experience working in a regulated environment such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 – preferred
Experience working in teams conducting continual improvement projects
Must have strong leadership skills and exercise independent judgment.
Must have strong problem-solving skills, be detail oriented, and organized.
Must have strong writing, communication and presentation skills with experience and ability to communicate with customers and suppliers.
Six Sigma, Lea, 5S training preferred.
