As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with our developers, product teams, and stakeholders to help ensure we deliver reliable, user-friendly, and high-quality web and mobile applications for our clients.
Our development work is mostly focused around modern web technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and related tools, with some projects also involving technologies such as C# and Python. You do not need to be an expert in these technologies, but a good understanding of how modern web applications work will help you succeed in this role.
To be a good fit for this role, you will need:
- At least 2 years of experience in QA or software testing.
- A strong understanding of software testing concepts and QA processes.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing for web applications.
- Ability to write clear test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
- Experience with regression, smoke, functional, UI, and API testing.
- Basic understanding of APIs and experience using tools like Postman.
- Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with developers and other team members.
You will stand out from other candidates if you have:
- Experience with automation testing.
- Experience with tools like Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience working with Jira, ClickUp, Trello, or similar project management tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience engaging with clients directly to understand requirements and provide feedback.
Responsibilities
With guidance from the broader technical team, the QA Engineer will use their experience to help deliver high-quality digital products for our clients. The key accountabilities of the role include the following:
- Review requirements and identify clear test scenarios.
- Create, maintain, and execute test cases.
- Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs clearly.
- Work closely with developers to verify fixes and improve product quality.
- Support regression, smoke, functional, UI, and API testing.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and release testing.
- Help improve our QA processes, testing standards, and overall delivery quality.
