As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will lead the development and improvement of our quality management processes. This role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including the development of quality standards for project management, mechanical and electronic design, procurement, and production processes. Your expertise will be crucial in developing, optimizing, and maintaining the systems that power our autonomous robot fleets. Working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, you'll tackle complex challenges and create innovative solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in robotics.
What you'll do day-to-day
- Implement quality assurance processes, conduct relevant activities, and integrate of quality processes into projects
- Monitor and verify the compliance of mechanical and electronic design and robotic software processes with industry standards
- Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination to ensure the effective execution and improvement of processes
- Ensure production, shipping, and procurement processes comply with quality standards, proactively resolving potential issues and enhancing process effectiveness
- Maintain and optimize the quality infrastructure on the production line to ensure ongoing functionality
- Execute system and unit level design qualification, validation, and production process to ensure product is in compliance with internal and customer requirements
- Perform daily quality inspections and audits, ensuring all products and processes comply with industry standards and internal quality protocols
- Monitor and evaluate production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues, working closely with production, engineering, and other teams to resolve problems promptly and effectively
- Actively engage in the management and optimization of both internal and external quality processes, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across the entire supply chain
- Participate actively in internal and external audits, ensuring all operations remain compliant with relevant certifications and regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the QA department and across the organization to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
What you'll bring to our team
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in the Automotive, Machinery, or Manufacturing sectors
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Experience with quality management systems (QMS) is essential
- Solid expertise in supplier auditing practices and protocols, with a proven track record of evaluating vendor compliance against rigorous industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Training in quality management system standards (preferably ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
- Proficiency in maintaining and updating documentation systems; preparing, approving, reviewing, and revising documents as necessary
- Knowledge of mechanical and electronic design process is a big plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities can shift rapidly
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
