The candidate that will succeed in this position will be able to create all the testing and automation frameworks as required for their projects. Thus, the candidate may have to work on multiple projects once, also working to improve the company's best practices from a testing a standpoint.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough functional testing for both mobile (Android/iOS) and web platforms
- Own and execute API testing (manual and automated), ensuring complete coverage
- Perform database testing to validate data integrity and backend logic
- Contribute to and maintain a manual test suite for new and existing features
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define quality standards
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs in detail
- Conduct post-release testing to ensure application stability in production
- Help improve QA processes and workflows to boost efficiency and effectiveness
- Participate in release planning, regression testing, and sanity checks
- Investigate and reproduce production issues, providing insights for resolution
- Suggest new tools, frameworks, or testing strategies to improve overall quality
- Leverage AI-assisted tools for debugging, root cause analysis, API validation, and identifying potential test scenarios to improve overall test coverage.
- Stay updated with emerging AI-driven testing practices and proactively identify opportunities to enhance QA processes, productivity, and product quality through AI adoption.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree from computer science background or a related field
- Has 1–3 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with expertise in functional, API, and database testing.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills, with experience in regression testing and defect management.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in the tech industry; exposure to automation testing frameworks or scripting is a plus.
