Job Summary
We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing software applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring product quality before release. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and technical specifications
- Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scenarios
- Perform manual testing of web and/or mobile applications
- Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA / Azure DevOps
- Perform regression, functional, and smoke testing
- Collaborate with developers to resolve issues
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
- Validate fixes and ensure issues are resolved
- Maintain test documentation and reports
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Software Testing Concepts (STLC, SDLC)
- Knowledge of manual testing techniques
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Basic knowledge of SQL queries
- Understanding of web applications and APIs
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of automation testing (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of Java / JavaScript / Python basics
- Experience with version control (Git)
