About The Role
We are hiring a QA Staff Engineer for a 100% remote position. This role will lead our quality assurance efforts, ensuring high performance and reliability across APIs and web-based applications. You will define testing strategies, develop automated testing frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best-in-class software delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of QA experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
Strong hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI
Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
Experience with performance testing tools such as K6, JMeter, or Gatling
Solid understanding of CI/CD workflows and Agile methodologies
Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to lead QA teams and drive continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with security testing methodologies and practices
Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Familiarity with containerization and microservices (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with contract testing tools such as Pact
Responsibilities
Design, lead, and implement comprehensive test strategies for both APIs and web applications
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API validation
Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
Enforce testing best practices across all stages of development
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure coverage and quality
Analyze test results to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement
Mentor junior QA engineers and cultivate a culture of technical excellence and accountability
Stay current with the latest trends and tools in software testing
