Project Description
This project is for a rapidly growing remote self-storage management software company revolutionizing the way facilities are monitored, managed, and optimized. The company is building out a platform to enable operational efficiency by automating tasks such as tenant management, key facility metric tracking, and client relations. Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Junior QA Engineer. We’re looking for someone with strong manual testing skills and hands-on exposure to test automation — detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work closely with developers and product teams to ensure high-quality software releases. Day-to-day work includes executing test plans, contributing to automation coverage, API testing, and collaborating across the team so deliverables meet customer and internal expectations.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, Linear, or similar tools
- Perform API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Create and maintain automated tests using Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers and product teams
- Use AI tools and AI-assisted testing techniques to improve QA efficiency and test coverage
- Contribute to improving QA processes, automation coverage, and overall product quality
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional QA / testing experience
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices
- Very good ability to write test plans and test cases
- Good knowledge of API testing
- Familiarity with test automation using Cypress, Playwright, or similar
- Basic JavaScript programming knowledge
- Experience with Jira, Linear, or similar project management / issue-tracking tools
- Good understanding of Git / version control
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Exposure to AI tools in software testing is a plus
- Comfortable working according to US time-zone working hours
- Must currently reside in Jordan
