Role Description:
This is a full-time remote role for a QA Automation Engineer / Software Test Engineer at Pronti. The role involves ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of web and mobile applications through both manual and automated testing practices.
Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and executing automated test scripts, performing manual testing, validating APIs, identifying bugs, improving test coverage, ensuring smooth release cycles, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in automation testing frameworks, API testing, regression testing, and modern QA practices within scalable product environments.
Location /Work Mode:
Remote (Work from Home)
Candidates should have at least ±4 hours overlap with AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time).
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and automation testing for web and mobile applications
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and testing frameworks
- Create and manage detailed test cases, test plans, and testing scenarios
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, UI/UX, and performance testing
- Conduct API testing and validation using tools like Postman
- Identify, document, track, and verify bugs/issues across environments
- Ensure application stability, responsiveness, and reliability across devices and platforms
- Validate real-time functionalities such as notifications, live tracking, and status updates
- Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, and product teams for issue resolution
- Participate in sprint planning, release testing, deployment verification, and QA sign-offs
- Improve automation coverage and optimise QA processes
- Prepare QA reports and testing documentation
- Ensure high-quality releases through continuous testing and monitoring
Your Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing and QA engineering
- Strong experience with both manual and automation testing
- Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks and tools
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA lifecycle
- Experience with API testing and validation
- Experience in testing web and mobile applications
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify edge cases and performance-related issues
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
