The Job
Koombea is seeking a QA Engineer to ensure software quality through manual testing. You’ll identify and report bugs, suggest improvements, and validate every feature to guarantee a smooth go-live. Your role includes creating and executing test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining quality standards, and approving releases to production throughout the SDLC.
What You’ll Do
- Review requirements, estimate tasks, and ensure testing aligns with project goals.
- Conduct functional, end-to-end, and regression testing to uncover defects.
- Create QA reports highlighting results, risks, and concerns.
- Support teams in identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Help with API and web service testing
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- 4+ years of experience in functional (manual) testing with end-to-end project experience.
- Familiarity with mobile automation frameworks (Appium is a plus).
- Experience with tools such as Android Studio, Xcode, Selenium, Postman, GitHub, and Figma.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP requests.
- Experience with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and defect management tools.
- Performance testing (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
- Automation experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
- ISTQB certification is a nice-to-have.
- English proficiency is required for collaboration, but an advanced level is not mandatory.
