POSITION SUMMARY: The Auditor, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring the Quality Management System (QMS) meets the highest level of quality and customer expectations and for monitoring and auditing the QMS to internal, regulatory, statutory, and customer requirements in accordance with an established audit process and schedule. This is an entry to a mid-level position with no supervisory responsibilities that reports to the Manager, Quality Assurance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs scheduled and unscheduled audits of the repair station, its facility and vendors, sub-contractors, suppliers and manufactures for compliance with Aspire MRO and Customer policies and procedures, and with Regulatory requirements (FAA, etc.).
Presents audit data and findings in an organized and understandable manner.
Works with management team to resolve audit findings.
Coordinates with the Purchasing department to evaluate vendors/suppliers.
Evaluates existing internal procedures for compliance with regulatory requirements.
Works with subject matter experts to develop, implement, and improve internal policies, procedures, and other documentation.
Corrective Action Request (CAR) issuance and verification/follow-up.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Airframe & Power Plant license.
5+ years of overall aviation maintenance experience with 2+ years’ experience in a quality related position (Quality Control Inspector, Auditor, etc.).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related quality auditing field.
Direct MRO experience to include working with major alterations.
Formal quality auditor training.
SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES:
Experienced with interpretation and application of 14 CFR Parts 145, 135, 121, 91, 65, 43, and 21 Regulatory Requirements.
Understanding of Repair Station Operations.
Strong organizational skills and is very detail oriented.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using standard English. Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak Standard English, including technical, aircraft and quality control-related vocabulary, for technical and general business correspondence and for producing work products.
Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Be able to analyze information and utilize problem solving skills.
Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes, and procedures.
Experience working with Microsoft Office programs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job operates in indoor and, occasionally, outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office and warehouse/airplane hangar environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines and safety gear. The outdoor settings include airplane runways and parking lots. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Occasionally subject to varying inside and/or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. Sedentary work; sitting, computer, data entry work most of the time in an office environment. Lifting/Exerts up to 10 lbs of force occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
TRAVEL: There is no travel expected for this position.
