QA Engineer (INL) Jobs in Reston, VA at Improvix Technologies
The Quality Control Technician is a member of the Quality Assurance team. Under the direct supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor, ensure company and customer quality standards are being met. Conduct quality tests, perform inspection checks, calibrate equipment, and communicate test results. This position helps ensure that all duties within the QA department are accomplished and supports Sun Noodles’ corporate Quality and Food Safety initiatives by executing food safety and quality plans to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
JOB DUTIES
Performs quality control audit checks for raw material, ingredient, and finished product integrity
Inspects incoming raw material packaging and ingredients for compliance
Inspects new and revised raw material packaging artwork for compliance, collects production and initial shipment retention samples, and reports vendor non-conformance’s
Conduct product shelf-life studies and maintain a product retention program
Other tasks as assigned
Specific Tasks
QA Analysis of finished products: water activity, moisture, yeast, mold, TVC
Daily environmental monitoring of facility (including ATP swabbing, allergen verification, TVC, and certain pathogens)
Maintaining lab supplies and equipment
Data entry and filing of daily logs
Perform daily equipment calibration
Oversee daily pre and post-operation activities at the assigned location
Work with other QA technicians on the floor to verify processes, including the monitoring of temperature during the production process
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED
Interest and willingness to learn about food safety, quality, and regulatory issue
Ability to be adaptable and flexible
Self-motivated and able to work independently with instruction
Detail-oriented and possess organizational skills
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Confident and adaptable personality with excellent customer service
Able to communicate and work with others in a team setting
Basic computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Office products, Adobe, etc.
