Job Summary:
The Software QA Engineer will perform advanced computer systems analysis and serve as a team lead within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System). This role involves overseeing the daily operations of testing teams, planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements to enhance system functionality and automate processes.
The QA Engineer will work closely with the FSP development team to provide comprehensive software testing services, ensuring system reliability, performance, and accessibility. Responsibilities include test case development, automated and manual testing, SQL data validation, and performance testing.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze user requirements and design documents to develop detailed test cases.
Create and execute automated functional and regression tests, documenting test cases, results, and issues.
Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data for testing purposes.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define and implement test automation.
Execute performance and accessibility testing using tools like WAPT Pro or JMeter.
Conduct manual testing and perform data validation.
