This role is responsible for establishing metrics, mentoring and training team members and developing test programs and requirements to ensure the quality of products being released to internal and external customers.
The perfect candidate will be well organized with a passion for accuracy and efficiency. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Mentor, train, and grow performance of current and new team members
Research and propose new technologies to improve the QA and testing processes
Help lead the initiative to have all QA team members perform automated/manual testing
Set quality standards within the team
Support and evolve the QA processes
Manage QA requirements development for new features and enhancements
Verify team members compliance with procedures, policies, and job site specific regulations
Collaborate with internal functional departments and correspondents to resolve complex issues within department service level goals
Develop and motivate team members to achieve individual, team, and departmental goals
Identify and implement control automation opportunities
Lead efforts to develop, document, and implement applicable QA processes and procedures to provide more effective quality methods within the group in support of providing quality applications
Remain current on changes and new developments on new and existing software applications/releases
Ensure the team constantly updates test scenarios and cases as new ones are identified
Define test plans based on requirements for projects and the team
Organize the QA team to ensure they log defects in the Defect Tracking System, clearly documenting the failed test case, failed scenario, outcome, and steps to reproduce the problem
Create the testing strategy for the QA team
Other duties as assigned by your Team Lead
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, preferred
Knowledge of JavaScript
Good programming knowledge
Ability to manage and motivate QA Analysts to produce results
Keen attention to detail
Broad knowledge of Agile methodologies
Strong communication and team player skills
