Key Responsibilities / Core Responsibilities
- QA Leadership & Mentorship Lead, mentor, and guide a hybrid team of Manual and Automation QA Engineers. Allocate tasks, track project progress, and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Test Strategy & Planning Create comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities across sprints.
- Automation Delivery & Code Review Actively develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts within the existing automation framework. Review automation code written by the team to ensure best practices and maintainability.
- Stakeholder Communication Liaise with developers, product managers, and project leadership to coordinate delivery requirements, report quality metrics, and manage client expectations.
- Defect & Release Management Oversee the defect lifecycle and the release task progress. This includes identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating bug fixes through robust regression testing to ensure a production-ready product in the QA environment.
Preferred Responsibilities
- Mobile Automation Contribution Contribute to and execute automated test suites for mobile applications.
- CI/CD Integration Monitor and optimize automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Framework Enhancements Provide suggestions to enhance and optimize the existing test automation framework for better execution efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have Technical & Leadership Skills
- Project Tools High proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, TestRail (or similar) for test management and defect tracking.
- Soft Skills Outstanding communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Skills
- API Automation Hands on experience with API automation (e.g., using Rest Assured).
- Mobile Testing & Automation Hands-on experience with mobile device testing and/or mobile automation tools (e.g., WDIO Mobile, Espresso, Eggplant).
- CI/CD Exposure Basic familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) to trigger and monitor automation runs.
