Position Summary
The Quality Manager will lead the design and implementation of Blue Line Solutions’ Quality Management System (QMS) in preparation for ISO 9001 certification within the next 12 months. This pivotal role ensures organizational quality standards are met across all departments and processes, focusing on continuous improvement, supplier quality, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The Quality Manager will drive a culture of excellence and accountability by working collaboratively across engineering, production, and customer-facing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System (QMS) & ISO 9001 Certification
Lead the creation, deployment, and maintenance of a robust QMS aligned with ISO 9001 standards.
Serve as the ISO 9001 management representative, overseeing audits, documentation, and corrective actions.
Establish and maintain quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Continuous Improvement & Process Development
Develop and enhance inspection processes, test procedures, and product validation protocols.
Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies to optimize performance.
Supplier Quality & Return Material Authorization (RMA)
Implement supplier quality assurance programs and conduct supplier audits.
Manage the RMA process, ensuring timely resolution of product failures and field issues.
Collaborate with vendors, procurement, and engineering to elevate product and service quality.
Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Train team members on quality standards, documentation practices, and problem-solving tools.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality ownership throughout the organization.
Partner with production, supply chain, and engineering to ensure quality is embedded at every stage.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Monitor industry standards and ensure ongoing compliance with ISO, OSHA, UL, FCC, and other regulatory frameworks.
Conduct risk assessments related to product, supplier, and process performance.
Maintain audit readiness and respond to changing regulatory requirements.
Customer Quality & Complaint Handling
Lead the customer complaint management process, conducting root cause analysis and resolution.
Drive “Voice of the Customer” (VoC) initiatives to capture feedback and improve satisfaction.
Work closely with Customer Service to minimize quality-related returns and escalations.
Quality Control & Inspection Management
Define and manage incoming, in-process, and final product inspections.
Implement metrics like SPC, PPM, and Cp/Cpk to monitor and improve quality performance.
Oversee First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAPs, and documentation for product launches.
Supplier & Vendor Management
Develop supplier scorecards and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and follow-through on resolution.
Partner with Procurement on supplier onboarding and performance tracking.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing or technological environment.
Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 certification.
Top Skills
· Strong understanding of QMS, continuous improvement, and supplier quality best practices.
· Ability to conduct data analysis, root cause investigations, and CAPA.
· Excellent leadership, training, and communication skills across departments.
Technical Requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality tools for metrics, analysis, and documentation.
Experience with audit procedures, process mapping, and documentation control.
Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and SPC methods.
Preferred
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or similar certification.
Experience in law enforcement, public safety tech, or traffic enforcement industries.
Familiarity with compliance requirements such as OSHA, UL, CJIS, and ISO 9001:2015.

Pay: $55,000 – $65,000
