Position Summary:
The big picture objective of this person is to successfully implement the strategic direction set by the Sr. Director of Quality and to manage day to day activities of the QA team independently. The person should be an expert at solving strategic QA team problems
Essential Duties
Assist the Sr Director of Quality to run day to day function of 1-2 brands under Actabl
Manages a team of QA engineers
Build and implement manual and automation testing strategy for the team
Review and build automated tests as and when required
Analyze and compile data to build and share Quality Metrics
Build and implement a plan to reduce customer reported defects for new features
Build and implement plan to reduce hotfixes
Build process, comprehensive and up to date Regression suite that does not fall behind
Collaborate with Product, Customer Success and Engineering Managers on a continuous basis
Define what Quality means and share it with the customers, identify the places we are missing QA
Other Duties & Responsibilities (Optional)
Get hands-on as per the business need, with programming and test script development
Reducing defect rate and speeding up releases
Identifying hiring needs according to business requirements
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to identify opportunities of improvements in quality standards
Represent Quality cross-functionally including technical/automation framework discussions
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience
Experience in Agile methods, particularly Scrum, preferred
Working with a remote team across multiple time-zones
Demonstrated skill in multi-tasking and keeping proper priority
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
Key Competencies
Up-to-date knowledge of upcoming new technologies in quality
Possess strong QA foundations – manual and automation
Experience in leading a team of QA Engineers
Lead and coach the team, be a mentor
