Frndly TV is seeking an experienced & passionate QA Manager to help build the team alongside the current QA Manager. The role requires a basic understanding of internet streaming technologies, billing systems, and TV customer expectations. The right candidate will excel in the management & development of people, communication, cross-platform user testing, and test case creation.

Leadership and Management Responsibilities

Manage, develop, and coach a team of manual QA testers responsible for product quality

Collaborate with overseas partners including overseas QA team

Lead the activities of the QA team, to ensure all testing is completed properly, with high quality and on time.

Collaborate with Product Managers to divide work evenly across teams to ensure there are no gaps

Drive business outcomes with multiple business and technology partners (both internal and external).

Strengthen the QA employee training and onboarding program along with co-manager

Work within our PM led team framework to refine processes and establish best practices that continually improve the agility and velocity of project delivery.

QA Related Roles and Responsibilities

Review business, functional, and technical requirements for quality and app consistency.

Support the team to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, cases, and scripts

Review team member test plans, cases, and scripts to properly assess each individual’s performance

Collaborate closely with leaders from Product Management, Customer Experience, Marketing, Analytics, Ad Sales, and Programming Ops to ensure cross-departmental alignment of goals, values, and processes.

Work closely with QA leadership to create and implement efficient processes that enhance Frndly TV’s approach to testing

Assist team members with regression testing and production validation if needed

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, communication, or a similar relevant field is highly preferred.

2-5 years of management experience with direct reports required

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work with minimal supervision, multi-task and work under pressure

Ability to collaborate across teams to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently

Proficiency in Google Suite preferred

Continual improvement mindset with routinely recommending and implementing improvements within QA department

Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills required

Strong attention to detail required

Must be comfortable with continuous change and be able to easily adapt

Able to work flexible schedules on short notice including early mornings (frequent), evenings (less frequent), and weekends (rare)

Ability and willingness to work overtime to meet company & department deadlines
