Our client has a position opening in Finland for a QA Manager / QA Engineer
Role Description
This is a contract on-site role for a QA Manager / QA Engineer in Steel Construction, located in Helsinki, Finland. The primary responsibilities include overseeing quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations, and performing regular inspections of materials and completed work. The role also involves developing and implementing QA procedures, maintaining documentation to support compliance, and collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve potential issues and optimize construction practices. The QA Manager/Engineer will participate in regular coordination meetings and provide reports on quality metrics and project progress.
The role and responsibilities are:
Proven experience as a QA Manager or QA Engineer on steel construction projects.
Solid understanding of:
Structural steel fabrication and erection
EN 1090 execution classes and CE/UKCA marking
Quality control procedures
Intumescent Paint application methods and QA standards (on site testing not required)
Demonstrated experience producing QA handover documentation for client acceptance.
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and technical specifications.
Fluent Finnish & English (spoken and written)
Act as a primary contact for Client QA team
Attend QA meetings and site walks
Prepare detailed QA reports
Co-ordinate and control Project NCR system (Nexus) ensuring items are closed within required timescale
