Overview:

Ensures that all raw materials and components in a fabrication shop meet exact project specifications and quality standards. They oversee material traceability, inspect incoming supplies, control inventory, and maintain the documentation required for compliance and final client deliverables. Detail-oriented and organized QA Material Management Coordinator to oversee the procurement, and traceability of all fabrication materials. You will bridge the gap between quality control, supply chain, and production by ensuring all materials are defect-free, properly certified, and readily available to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain material quality records for assigned projects.
  • Review and verify Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Compliance (COCs), and supplier documentation for accuracy and specification compliance.
  • Ensure material traceability is maintained from receipt through installation and project completion.
  • Verify that purchased materials meet project specifications, engineering requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Track material status, inspections, release documentation, and nonconformance reports.
  • Maintain material control logs, heat number records, and traceability matrices.
  • Coordinate material receiving inspections with Quality Control Inspectors and project teams.
  • Review material receiving documentation and ensure discrepancies are properly documented and resolved.
  • Assist with supplier quality documentation reviews and audits as required.
  • Support the preparation and compilation of turnover packages, quality dossiers, and final project documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain records in accordance with CB&I quality procedures and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Project Controls regarding material shortages, substitutions, and documentation issues.
  • Assist in identifying and documenting nonconforming materials and support corrective action activities.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety policies and procedures.

Local Requirements:


Normal work environment will be shop or field which will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles.

Sedentary Work:

Lifting 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.

Light Work:

Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.

Medium Work:

Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds (overhead level).

Heavy Work:

Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Very Heavy Work:
