SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties associated with quality including product inspection in various departments, conduct tests to ensure quality requirements are met and perform related duties as assigned. Work hours are 11 pm – 7 am, Sunday – Thursday. Some overtime may be required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Conduct and document AQL inspection of product in production including Pressroom, Bindery, Imaging and Fulfilment.
Conduct and document required testing to ensure product quality as it pertains to the customer requirements.
Pull customer samples ensuring that the samples meet customer expectations for color.
Pull and run Imaging customer samples and ensure the samples will meet customer expectations.
Must learn and know various customer expectations for quality and testing.
Maintain QC press retain samples on a monthly basis
Communicate with Press Operators, Supervisors and Management when quality issues arise
Ensure any quality issues are placed on hold, and communicated accordingly to ensure nonconforming product is shipped
Inspect, sort and take corrective measures on product needing additional inspection or sorting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High School Diploma or GED
Prior Quality Inspection experience preferred.

Self-Managed and able to set priorities depending on production schedule/demands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 20lbs) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
Must have average discrimination for evaluating color and/or color shift(s)
