Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Software Testing Engineer with extensive experience in testing APIs using Postman. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can analyze requirements and ensure that software meets the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for API testing using Postman.
- Analyze high-level requirements and translate them into detailed test plans.
- Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Perform regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
Mandatory Skills
- Proficiency in API testing using Postman.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services.
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automation testing tools.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing.
- Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
